Here we are well into October, the
weather has been mild and our ride outs mainly dry...
Four of us this weekend,,
I met Trevor and we rode down to Carrickfergus to meet up with Mike and Gavin.
Everyone fancied a run down to Donegal...
Trevor had even put on a new tyre for the occasion...
but...... after just a few miles Trev's
Yam started to take all sorts of wobbles,, turned out to be the back wheel
bearing had broken up... so Trevor had to limp on home..
The rest of us headed out through the
usual route to Magilligan, where we took the Foyle ferry over to Moville...
We were surprised at just how many bikes
were out and about...

Gavin deep in thought,,,,, it was his
turn for the scrubbed out back tyre this week, the Aprillia making mince meat
out of the tyres middle... but it got him home ok.

After the compulsory lunch at Moville we
headed off over the mountain, eventually passing through Buncrana and taking the
more coastal route back towards Moville again. Luckily the
weather had been very good... and we arrived back at Mike's place just
before dark..
All in all I managed to clock up just
under 250 miles... not bad for a Sunday afternoon ride-out...
Global warming....? it can't be all
bad?
Roll on next week....
