Mothers day Sunday the 6th of March

Some  of us managed to escape from the usual Mothers day rituals..

Sam had to make a get away on his quick machine

Here he comes screaming across Carrickfergus harbour car park

He says that he had always fancied a trike.......

But getting back to more serious issues, the Legendary 49-ers were heading out for their usual Sunday run...Some of the lads didn't make it as they were captured and forced to attend family dinners etc.  Some of those who did make it were Sam of course Mike L.  Mike C., Trevor ,Noel and myself.    Victor also made an appearance , but wasn't for waking his Triumph out of hibernation just yet and only came down to watch Sam arrive on his three wheeler..

Harold also showed but was feeling a little delicate after Saturday night, and disappeared for a bite to eat.

Tommy K. also made an appearance on his trailie... but decided not to go as he didn't want to embarrass us all when we couldn't keep up with him. Time enough when he gets the Blackbird on the road again.

Did you ever wonder why Mike C. always has the panniers on his bike??? (look closer)

Anyhow..... off we went about 13:00 hrs.... a brisk ride up to Moira to meet up with Noel then off through Tandragee... Armagh.... into Dungannon. (Moygashel)

............................................................Where we stopped off for lunch.

You can see from the picture it was a cracking day.... good dry roads too...

Lunch taken care of.. it was a good run home .. out through Cookstown round Lough Neagh  to Toome, down into Antrim and then on to the Nuttscorner round about....where we parted company, everyone heading off in their own particular direction home.

All in all I covered about 150miles.... Now I just have to think up an excuse ( for her indoors) as to why I missed  Mothers day Sunday lunch.
