You can probably tell from this picture what sort of a day it was.. We had set out on our usual Sunday ride-out (just the three of us ..Sam, Mike and myself) intending to go round the coast a bit, and maybe stop off for a coffee at Glenarm....
Waterfoot as it happened was the first stop off, just for a coffee, then we mainly followed the coast out through Ballycastle, Portrush (where we called in to see if Brian and Norma were at home) then on into Portstewart for lunch.
The picture was taken looking out over Portstewart bay, and what a fine day it was too... windy and wet, doesn't really describe it adequately .
In the 130 plus miles I covered, County Antrim looked more like the lake district, with new lakes and ponds over every hedge along the roadside.
It must have been really odd watching us crossing over the mountain into Ballycastle, a reasonably straight road and the three of us laying at about 45 degrees into the wind, just to keep the bikes going straight.
After a nice lunch at Portstewart we kitted up and headed off for home ,keeping off the main roads as much as possible.
Sam branched off at the Battery, Mike and myself headed on down through Ballyclare to the Larne line, where he made for Larne and yours truly for Belfast.

What you see above is a fine example of a much loved and ridden motorcycle, its only muck you know, it washes off easily, just a drop of soapy water and a sponge, that's all you need to keep it right.
Your bike isn't made of sugar, if you ride it in the rain its not going to melt.
See below how well it can wash up again...
So here it is again washed...???? Geez. too much soap its melted into a ZX10R... Oh well, it'll have to do I suppose!
