49-ers go North to the South.....

Its early May now, and its Sunday of course. We haven't been posting too much on the web site lately, not that we aren't out and about, its more to do with the fact that I'm a bit of a lazy sod and haven't got around to publishing the ride-outs or updating the members pages....  ( I will eventually)

The 49-ers have been on some good runs over the past month or so (now that the weather has warmed up a little) including one down to Wexford...

This weekend however, (Sunday) started very wet with some torrential downpours.

We never got under way until about 1.00pm, Trevor and myself meeting up at the Odyssey, then a run down to Mikes where we met up with Noel, Gary and Dave...

By this time of course it was almost 3.00pm.... the day was almost over but the weather had improved dramatically...

Heading inland from Glynn we crossed over the Larne carriageway and headed over the mountain towards Ballymena, not really sure where we were heading but enjoying the pace and the dry roads.  We arrived not long afterwards at Ballycastle... got a bite to eat and decided to make a run out towards Castlerock.....seeing as it was such a nice day.

Gary tries out the Kwak for size....

Castlerock came up rather quickly, it was still a great evening to be out on the road.... so the "Navigator" came up with the suggestion we head on over to Magilligan and take the ferry into Donegal..   so that's what we did.

That's us waiting at the ferry terminal at Magilligan..

This is us on the ferry going North into the South of Ireland...

A few shots in Moville

The last shot of the "Navigator" taking a bearing before heading off for something to eat.....

All in all it was a brilliant day out...I arrived home just before 11.00 pm....   needless to say my dinner was in the dog, and I was in the dog house....   roll on next Sunday........
