Blimey, here we are well into October. where did the summer go, did it ever start?

Well the 49-ers have not been too active lately, after a few incidents earlier in the year, outings have been limited.

However,   I was out today, for a leisurely blast, wet gear on I left home about 11:00 a.m., It was a horrible wet drizzly morning, and by the time I stopped for petrol at Whitehead, my waterproofs were dripping, and I could hardly see out of my visor.

Gassed up I went out through Larne,( the roads were dry now, things were looking better.) taking  the usual coast road route I was enjoying the scenery, and was surprised at the number of other bikers, who like myself were enjoying the October day.

Glenarm was my next stop, the usual cup of coffee and a chocolate biscuit in hand, from the burger van, I got chatting with a couple of other lads ,before heading on out into Carnlough and on over the mountain into Broughshane........................... from there it was over the mountain ,down to the Battery and on into Larne again.

I thought I would try my luck and get  a free cuppa at Michael L's.   but no one was at home.  ( too busy on four wheels lately, out terrorizing the countryside in his Robin hood,)

So Carrick was the next stop, two guys were sitting with their Harleys as I pulled into the car park, as I parked they put their helmets on and left....   strange lot Harley riders.....  was it something I said?  maybe it was B.O. ?   I dunno.

so I sat for a while  .  Mike and June arrived down in the Robin hood,( I must get a couple of pictures). Then Victor arrived, in the van!  what's the world coming to?

Anyhow.   it was on home after that. the Yamaha getting its first good wash of the year. and stuck back in the garage until next week.

 that's it!

I gotta get out more. maybe even take the camera next time and get a few photos...
